About the project
The Asperre residential project, consisting of 21 BEN homes, will soon be built near the center of Mechelen. Asperre stands for unique, new and sustainable living in Mechelen, with the Papenhof park next to the front door. The houses are executed in contemporary architecture and have 3 or 4 bedrooms. All houses have a spacious south-oriented garden with private bicycle shed and are accessible via a garden path. Parking in Asperre is done in the underground parking garage. There are different types of houses that are distinguished by their layout, facade and windows. All homes were designed in a contemporary and timeless design with a practical layout and high living comfort. The houses were built from a simple basic plan in which the number of load-bearing walls in the house was limited as much as possible. This is to allow flexibility of the layout according to changing (future) use. Due to its location on the outskirts of the city and the green surroundings, it is peaceful living in the Asperre project. Yet you are less than 10 minutes by bike in the bustling city center; the advantages of 'living in the city' are therefore within reach. Mechelen-Nekkerspoel train station and the E19 ramp are also easily accessible. With its BEN houses, the project receives full attention for extensive insulation, underfloor heating, ventilation and solar panels. In some of the houses, geothermal energy is used on the basis of a BEO field. The energy-efficient measures all together ensure a low E and S of the level, resulting in a low energy bill.
