About the project
The Manufactory Quarter includes a number of unique buildings that are protected as cultural monuments and together with the surrounding apple orchard and ancient park trees they form a unique and valuable environment. The quarter is in a unique location. North Tallinn’s valuable urban space and outstanding architecture is within easy reach. This includes the Seaplane Harbour, Patarei Prison, Noblessner, Stroomi beach and Kultuurikatel, which in the future will be connected by the Insect Highway.
The Manufactory Quarter will develop into a complete environment, where living spaces are integrated with offices, restaurants, shops and services. It will become a vibrant quarter with a diverse business environment, whose history-inspired architecture will preserve its unique industrial character. The public space created will be multi-use and people-centred, with playgrounds, community gardens, parks and enjoyable free space.
By 2025 there will be more than 500 apartments and more than 6,000 m2 of commercial space in the quarter.
The Manufactory production building and boiler house are being designed by Kadarik Tüür architects, and new residential buildings and public space by Molumba architecture bureau.
The Manufactory Quarter is being developed in cooperation with Hepsor Real Estate and Tolaram Group. The quarter is being built by Mitt & Perlebach.
