This extraordinary property located in panoramic position and nestled
between the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi has ancient origins. At the time of the Romans it was a farm country house (during the excavations carried out for the restoration, in fact, they found glass and pottery from the Roman period). The oldest part, which still exists, date between the years 600-700 AD and it was almost certainly a watchtower.
The old farmhouse presents the typical architecture of the area, in the shape of a horseshoe, with two wings and a central body, the lemon storage house. The building is perfectly oriented north - south. The restoration was strictly conservative , with the use of all existing materials except those
damaged that were replaced. The restoration work started in December 2004 and was completed by June 2006.
The large property has rooms and spacious apartments. Each of the 15 rooms is equipped with private bathroom with tub and shower. The apartments are two, one with two bedrooms and a large living room, the other has three bedrooms, large living room and kitchen. In addition there is a little house with 3-4 beds plus living room and kitchen. The lemon storage house is used
as a relax room with fireplace and library. The estate is complemented by a fitness area with turkish bath, a spacious Jacuzzi and a beautiful panoramic swimming pool.
