Historical castle near milan in the center of Galliate, located at a few kilometers from Milan and the Malpensa airport, it was built from 1476 onwards, based on a former fortress of the Visconti family, thanks to Galeazzo Maria Sforza. The construction work was stopped and resumed only in 1496, by the hand of Ludovico il Moro, who made the fortress into a comfortable hunting residence. In 1532, it became a fief of the branch Caravaggio Sforza, undergoing several transformations during the seventeenth century, but they did not change the fundamental structures. After remaining in a state of deterioration from the late eighteenth, in 1878 it was divided between multiple owners and they began the restoration works, the last of which in 1980 executed by the present owner. It consists of two private units that can be connected. The first one comprises an entrance, with frescos from the 800s, living room with fireplace, floors in Venetian terrazzo and dining room with wooden floors from the 800s. Kitchen with Lombard terracotta floors and service bathroom. The first floor contains a study room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. An independent apartment in the attic comprising a living room with kitchen corner, bedroom, bathroom, a walk in closet and a storage space under the roof. The apartment contains an independent entrance from the main door of the castell. The other unit contains an entrance, kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace and balcony facing the moat, and service bathroom. On the inter leveled floor you find a complete bathroom. The first floor has 3 bedrooms, one of which with fireplace, bathroom and walk in closet. In the attic, you find a bedroom with bathroom, a living room with kitchen corner, 2 walk in closets and a storage space under the roof. Basements in the underground floor. Gracious internal garden of 1000 sq. m. The restoration work on the interior facade was made in 2009. Part of the external frames are new with double glazed windows. Gas heating with two wall boilers. Visible brick wall facade.
